Site metrics refers to data extracted from web logs. Web logs are lists of all information sent from the server to the user. By analyzing these logs, we can gain useful information, such as which pages users are visiting and where they enter and exit a web site. This information is extremely important when considering an optimal website design or analyzing an existing one. It tells us what is working for you right now, what parts of your site need to be changed, and what is most important to your users.
