Onlinefocus, a Silicon Valley - based leader in web design and development, and Sun Microsystems (SUNW), a leading provider of industrial strength hardware, software, and services, collaborated on the "STAR" Educational Initiative for K-12 and higher education. Working with the Sun charter to bring together several strategic programs that can reduce the cost and complexity of managing network systems for the education IT community, Onlinefocus designed and developed a solution that will help drive the STAR offering to an International customer base.
"Time to market and getting things right the first time are absolutely critical. The Onlinefocus team was able to take the concept of our STAR program and apply their development methodology to go from discovery to deployment on a complete and comprehensive tool (SATT), from the ground up. To track and manage activity from the STAR program in a manner of weeks that would have normally taken many months.
The expertise and innovation the Onlinefocus brought to the project, along with their flawless development allowed SUN Microsystems to constantly beat schedules with "bullet proof" code. The entire Onlinefocus team are some of the Most professional and "can do" people I've ever met" said Dave Nelson, STAR Program Manager, Sun Microsystems."
Onlinefocus and Sun Microsystems have been business partners since 1998, and continue to work on a variety of web based initiatives in education, research, and commerce.
